Disrupting the Frequency of Status Quo

I firmly believe that each one of us is on this earth to make a “sound”—an eternal sound that disrupts the frequency of the status quo. After all, we were created in the image of God/Source who dwells within us, right? The One who said, “Light be!”

We’re here to heal our lineage, ourselves, humanity, and the earth. More specifically for our times, to bring forth the “new earth”. It doesn’t matter what “sound” we’ve been given to broadcast, whether it is through our vocation, occupation, hobby, or our very being. The only way to disrupt the frequency of hatred, complacency, apathy, control, fear, untruth, and darkness is to make a sound so authentic that the world has no choice but to shift.

Those of us who make art do so because our souls have to! It is our protest, our prayer, our voice, and our heart. It is proof that we are here. We create because something on the inside of our being needs to be on the outside. We need to release the eternal!

We are energy. We are light. We are pure quantum expression. We are the Innovators. We are the Breakers. The surge of electricity that disrupts the status quo!

For the most part, we don’t fit in. We yawn at the status quo. We create matter that rises up from the deep—no matter what it looks like to others, regardless of the cost, the isolation, the loneliness, the ‘Oh, you’re one of those’ stares, or the ‘When are you going to get a real job?’ questions. We do it without ever knowing the outcome.

The ability to look deeply is the root of creativity. When we dance in rhythmic harmony, pick up the brush, the pen, or the instrument, we are not merely engaging in a hobby or a profession; we are expressing a sacred imperative. It’s not intellectual; it’s spiritual.

“Artists allow us to see what we are unable to see but already know.” ~Rick Rubin

Humans are an ever-flowing river of creativity. Every stroke of color, every raw lyric, and every movement we make becomes an eternal seismic ripple, fracturing the complacency of the world near and far. This creative force is our ancestral inheritance and our living legacy—a refusal to pass through the “old” world without releasing the eternal sound of a “new” world—the Now. By channeling our deepest truths and most authentic selves into creation, we reshape reality, turning personal healing into collective awakening. We do not merely occupy space on this earth; we vibrate so powerfully that the future cannot help but echo our song of disruption.

Do you create to express the depths of your soul, connect with the spiritual realm, heal, protest, or simply survive? Or maybe it’s just not that “deep” for you – and that’s ok. I’d love to hear how your creative practice disrupts the status quo in your own life. Share your thoughts below.
